Under the Sea

I have always felt that the mercritters of sl don’t get enough play. They don’t have enough places to go, tho it has gotten better since the time I first rezzed. There isn’t enough items that they can start with, that aren’t a fortune.

Well today I’m going to show you what I found on my search!

Ruina Kessel of House of Ruin let my use her new store build for these pics. The new store isn’t open yet(neener neener), but in the meantime you can go and join her subscribo and grab some great freebies.

What does she have there, at this magical undersea store? EYES! Some people collect skins, some shoes, some just anything in a certain colour. Me, I collect eyes. I don’t even want to tell you how much I have spent on eyes. So the above pic, you get those. But not just those, the whole darn set! and there are 2 other sets too.

This was my fav find of all. When I saw the ad I was sort of iffy. Didn’t know how great those primmed parts would work. Well this thing is great, with the ao, it just swishes so nicely. It’s also GREEN! The starfish are also really rad, if your not wanting your mer nips all out there for the mer boys to oggle.

The Green set is the only reason why I’m wearing pink again. It totally make me happy enough to forget I’m in this horrid colour. At least I look like I’m going to eat the next diver I see. The redeeming part of this is I like the scale transition to human skin. nifty feature. There is a blue Merman Tail sitting with this one too, so get you man all dressed up, mer role play, ooooo.

I’m in love with the tail on the left. Sad thing is I had already taken all these great photos, to find out that the owner is changing locations. So you’ll have to wait a wee bit to get this one.

The goldfish one I thought I’d play up, she looks like she just won a fight with a Betta.

Found this Snarfblat in a mini hunt, It’s one of those ongoing type things. The owner of the parcel just wants you to have a bit of fun. Little treasures all about. There is a poster up near the shop to find out what you have to do.

I loved the sparkliness of this tail. I normally don’t go for that sort of stuff, but I’m a mercritter now, so sparkles are a must.

The eyes look like they are from the depths of the deepest hole at the bottom of the ocean. Perfect for getting your mer on.

Now it can’t be all fun and games. There are still predators in the water.

These I got when I first found Grendel’s. I had to purchase them. But they are now all only L$1. So you lucky people get them for almost nothing.

They have a really unique ao. Sort of slithery.

They come with everything, skin, eyes, shape, ao plus fishy bits. I’m wearing my own shape tho.

This was suppose to be red. NOT PINK! or salmon, whatever. It’s so not red. But there are lost of colours and guy versions too. Same as the shark, there is one for the dudes.

GREEN!

It’s like my favvy sl colour. I really don’t get to wear it in rl, never find the right shade. Plus in here I get to be green. Literally! So Fricka was in the shop buying up a wack of hair, and I was all like oh ya, I hadn’t been to her shop in a bit. So I dragged one of my store models, Ruina Kessel(Also owner of House of Ruin) over to {Frick}. There we found some new goodies. This Green goddess of a skin was down stairs, as well as the lucky chair! And low and behold my letter came up! I’m always super excited when that happens, cause honestly we designers like never get out. We are hermits. We need showers most days, at least 2 dunkings.

Nyla Cheeky of House of Nyla gave me an outfit the other day. It so went with the {Frick} skin, I just had to show you.

This made me go to the store, see if she had any goodies. There is one, for both men and women. I remembered I mentioned Ducks in my first post, so I laughed when I found these duck feet looking for a slurl.

Here are the Lucky Chair Beauties. I only realised at the last pic that I had lost my lashes due to the hat. Oops.
Now I really didn’t want to go too holiday crazy, but this giftpack warranted Free*Style bloggage.
All this is in it, and it’s free! Can’t beat that! Well you can but it could get messy.

I saw these eyes in the Free*Style Flickr group and was like OOOOOOO. MINE! The only thing that sucks is if your hunting on your own. That’s cause it’s not a regular hunt. It’s a lucky letter hunt, so bring peeps to get the items rolling.

Lastly for the love of all things Duh! That’s the store name I swear! Renee is awesome. We have seen shoe kits go out there, and people do nothing with them. They just make them up and slap them out. Well Renee, she actually adds things, and like makes different colours, ooo and here is a new concept, she like places different types of textures on them. OMG! Like I can feel the air going to my head. So ya head on over to Duh! you’ll find something, and spend next to nothing, she gives awesome gifts, has a lucky chair, does hunts. Shoe lovers dream designer. So off with you now, hump her leg a bit!

Pink has been getting some play on the fashion feeds lately. This is after Valentines, so what gives?For this story, I will leave names out.

Well a fellow Canadian(I AM CANADIAN-one of our beer slogans) blogged about Anti Bully Day, which is a day in Canada where schools had started a program to show support on bringing down “bully” behavior.

It’s sort of funny that this one blog post could start a war of sorts, and the soldiers being a battalion of Pink clad SL avi’s. So I don the horrid colour to do my part. We all say things that aren’t so nice some days, things that could be taken wrong, if you don’t know the person well enough. Have some taste, don’t start wars on a feed, plurk, flickr, twitter, blablabla, cause more often then not, it comes back at you like tenfold.

I also happen to believe only REAL men can pull off pink, it shouldn’t matter what their preference of a partner is.

So be kind. Rewind.

So I at least managed to punk out while I was in this dastardly colour. People were all over it.

I soooooooo did not want to have to buy pink, or take time to look for pink, so I did a wee bit of cheating, and shopped a bit on XStreet. This was a Sweeter Then Candy gift for Vday that’s still up. I think it was blogged, but for all you who missed it, go get er!

This I think our Suri might have blogged this in the past, but doesn’t hurt to take a quick pic. I love the train on it, even if it’s pink.

I wear in al these a rather normal but well made skin, and even managed to score some pink eyes for ya! The lashes come on the skin, so no prim torture necessary.

And what would a Free*Style post be without some Pink shoes? I think I found the most fugly ones I could.

Well I hope you all enjoyed my self induced torture, it might be hard not to get bullied now though, all you pink lovers probably want to chop off my head. If only to get the hair!

i wish my sl experience wasn’t always so lagged (i need more memory & better graphics >.<) i would've taken pictures somewhere there's a ship or what not but eh… -.-

These cute outfits are by =IZUMIYA= for .::PeppermintBlue::., named Sailor Collection, one set is in red & the other in gray & pink. As shown, there many different ways to wear. It comes with short sleeves, tank tops, shorts, long pants, skirts, knee high stockings, & two different color hats, in both sets! In the gray & pink set it includes the sneakers shown/worn, but the red outfit do not included any shoes. i pretty much threw on anything black on my feet found in my inventory. These black heels are pretty cute & free in the your sl inventory! Found in the ‘Professional Female by Adam n Eve’ folder. Almost forgot to mention, on the back of the shirt it says ‘Sea Gang’ & something else I couldn’t really read on the pants but i found it cute just because it’ll be cool to take photos with a bunch of people in the same outfits. PeppermintBlue is always providing goodies for the public so you should always check in on them when you can, to see what is their latest, especially before the deadlines. Yes deadlines, meaning no more, gone, unavailable, poof. lol here is the schedule for the Sailor Collection:

Lastly, >TRUTH< has two freebie hairs that i just adore! in 1st photo i am wearing Deanne in auburn, & in the 2nd Berri in auburn also. by far i love Deanne just because of the headband. i guess it put the cherry on top for me. (located on one of the back boards in behind the main pillar of hair section. If you have any issues finding them IM me & I will take you to them :]) i feel so beautiful, & don’t look warm? I’m wearing lessthan3 special gift, sugar skins GODIVA, & eyes included in violet. It can be found on the round looking table when entered. The outfit which isn’t fully shown (sorry) is by =IZUMIYA= not free but incredible affordable for only 25L. it comes with shoes/flats, bangle, three different hoods (with/without strings, & different cort sizes), purse, stockings with a really nice design on left side of leg, sweater, & undershirt. Overall its a bargain! You must go see it for yourself. There are also tons of freebies on the upper level so make sure you go up & check them out :]

Poppy Saves The Day!

I remember when I was new, I spent a month on Orientation Island learning stuff, sorting out my “look” and whatnot. I thought I looked pretty spiffy when I hit the mainland infohub. The I saw “her” this vision in a tank top and jeans, with the *most* amazing hair. Why the hell didn’t my hair do that, I remember thinking to myself. She sent me a LM to Taunt, there was a hair treasure hunt (not sure if they still do it). I too could have swishy hair!! She also gave me a halter top she had made and I was so stoked. Someone told me about Girl6, and I stood for hours in that store, trying to get my default skin to look like the skin in the posters!! I also was beside myself that I could pick *any* hair in *any* colour I wanted, and Six would give it to me for free.

For so long I walked like I had a stick up my butt, (who knew ao’s existed) and so many other funny things I did or said. I would have *killed* for this new resident pack from Popfuzz. You get the clothes shown above, perfect basics that should be in every inv. Also, manicures and pedicures, all of which are gorgeous.

And skins baby. Beautiful, luminous skins with yummy natural makeup, in every tone you can think of.

There’s even a neko skin. I tell you, new players will be so spoilt with this pack!! Everyone goes through a Neko phase in SL, I remember how excited I was about getting my first neko skin. It cost a fortune though, but now thanks to Poppy, you get a head start.

Did I mention there’s eyes too? There is a colour to suit everyone’s taste.They do have prim attachments, so if you’re helping out a new friend, you may want to stick around and show them how to torture prims!! Let all the new players you know about this pack, they can grab it from Popfuzz until they’re 30 days old. Also direct them to their Library, show them whats in it. Options and choices are good, choices from amazing, established designers are awesome! Save the grid from every new chick wearing “Alina”, that’s your mission, should you choose to accept it! Ash out.

Lano Lang has created some beautiful new eyes, Poetic Colour Eyes. This pair, inspired by colours of Christmas, are free, I could melt into these, they are stunning.

Vampire Weekend

I love this band Vampire Weekend and now I have an excuse to inflict them on everyone else…

I’ve gone vintage Halloween today, I’m channelling Dita von Teese after she has just been fed some raw human. Did you know that when Dita goes to a Halloween party she dresses like a normal girl without makeup – that’s her outfit, that’s what she said in an interview last week.

This retro dotty gorgeous dress is a free gift from Ingenue. Also comes in many other colours but only the orange is free. The hair is a freebie by Jetdoll at Savoir Hair and the teeth are part of a 1L Vampirella outfit from JetDoll (see here for complete outfit, I blogged it nearly a year ago and it’s still available in store)

This web and spider jewellery is a free gift from Star Kindler, beautiful and intricately detailed, it’s hard to show it in its full glory in these pics. (Woops just noticed Ashia has featured these here too) There’s no such thing as overexposure when it comes to this luffly jewellery though.

To be honest I’ve got a bit of beef with Halloween in RL. Call me an old grump, but I find kids I don’t know (most of them bigger than me) ringing my doorbell and begging for sweets pretty annoying. Now my girls are desperate to do it “cos everyone else is”. Gaaahhh what to do?

Thankfully we are going to be out at a party later, so hopefully we will get back late and miss all that.

Tuli is doing a grand opening of her new sim tomorrow, and with it comes her brand new skins. She *just* sent out a group gift that has some of the most gorgeous skins I’ve ever seen in SL. Yeah, I know everyone says that. But seriously…you NEED these. I’m not sure what juju Tules is doing, but whatever it is, Sumi and Meredith (the 2 names of her new skins) are breathtaking. It’s $250L to join her group, but it will be the best $250L money can buy. Trust me. I wish I had the skillz to do these justice.

Dracula wants to suck your blood, but not your lindens with these free tee shirts. Dizamn, I’m sounding like a used car saleswoman, but seriously. I couldn’t be more excited when three of my fave designers gives out wicked awesome treats.
