Totally T’rrific Terry!

It’s been a wee bit quiet on the western front where my friend Terry Toland has been concerned. I’ve hardly seen her at all, and was wondering why. She’s been a busy bee!! Knowing that alot of players come to SL to role play (and I don’t mean slex, I mean proper RP ya filthy lot!), Terry already has some amazing avatar packs set out for free at her sims. You can get a merfolk kit, Dark Elf and Fae. These are all complete, with hair, skins, shapes, eyes, clothes and AO. All of these Terry has made with attention to detail, and the skins she modded herself from the Eloh bases.

New to the packs already available, let me introduce Sullivan and Carolyn. They come with everything you need to get started playing a peasant, there are 2 size shapes, dwarf and taller, eyes, skin, hair, clothes, shoes and AO. I forgot to change shapes for Carolyn (bad Ash) but look how cute Sullivan is, all cuddly and such! You can find these at Dynamic Recluse in Sordoh.

My Candace from Sweeter Than Candy sent this out to the group the other day (yes I’ve claimed her too cos she totes rocks!) the shoes come with it, as well as a pair of thigh high boots I haven’t shown.

Remember how I tortured you with amazing but not free boots from EvA a few posts back? Well the incredibly generous Van has put these babies out for your strutting pleasure. You’ll find them next to the ankle boots display. Thanks Van and Evangeline, you’re making our SL ridiculously smexy! Oooh I nearly forgot! The tattoo! It’s from Otaku Designs. My letter came up half way through me doing an item camp, camp soon abandoned as this tatt has ice creams and cupcakes on it….it had to be mine XD! Now I shall go back to the joyless task of trying to find all my PS brushes and re download them, as along with the buttsecks from the grid, my computer died and I spent the weekend reformatting the HD…..again. A very emo Ash, out.

I’m cooooold

Today is the first day of snow here in my part of Scotland. It’s freeeezing! It’s not that lovely white fluffy snow though, its the wet, sleety grey stuff, the one positive thing about it was my kids actually wanted to leave the house earlier for school this morning because they were excited – the wierdo’s! I think I will have to hang out at warm sunny places in SL to make myself feel better.

I found the Meu and Ska Shack store on a shopping trip around Osaka a few days ago and it has some great free gifts. Meu has really fun girly stuff, vintage style with bold prints, I really love. The top was not free (only 80L), the skirt was a free gift and there are some Tshirts there too.

Remember when it was my rl bday? I said I wanted shoes, and a certain someone paid attention to me (makes a nice change XD!)

These gorgeous Mary Janes are called Serenity, they’re from Unique Needs. I’m showing them with the new group gift from the lovely Tuli. It’s called Amicitia, really a stunning dress.

These are my fave finds from the Ravenwear brain hunt. I have a thing at the moment for kyoot short dresses!! Also worth mentioning, Sai Pennell from Imperial Elegance is giving away an amazing AO at her main store, and is retiring a whole wall of shtuff. Everything on said wall is 1L, and will soon be gone for good. I grabbed an amazing tail, and modeling stool, as well as some new poses which weren’t a linden (I have a not so secret pose obsession!)

Yay, I’m so glad to be back and alive! Honestly everytime I get on a flight I feel like I am dicing with death and that I have survived when the plane lands. Drama queen, Moi?

It’s taken me a while to get back in the swing of things here, I’ve returned to lots of notecards and IMs and emails. If you have contacted me and I don’t reply in the next few days, I’ve probably lost your notecard/not received your IM so please contact me again, I’m in such a muddle!

Anyway on to the goodies. I took a pic in SL a few weeks ago and edited it to look like a sort of pop art print. Tarissa Tripsa left a comment with a great idea that it would look good on a tee. I attempted to create it myself and, well, it looked like shit.

Four Yip kindly created one for me and it rocks! I’ve placed it for free at Free*Style. It comes in yellow and purple with little ribbon ties on the shoulders. Thankiiiieeees Four.

Why ‘o’ why do I get the urge to do a last minute post after midnight when I am completely exhausted? I always get the URLs wrong, I’ll never learn.

Huntorama: Stringer Mausoleum & Shrine

Helena Stringer is having brilliant hunt with items for both men and women at the Stringer Mausoleum & The Stringer Shrine “Links Lost Rupees Hunt” on May 30th-June 8th.

“Link was passing through my forest, and it seems his pouch of rupees had a hole. Now it is your task to collect them all up!

This will take place at the main HQ spot, on the whole lot, both levels, in Lyashko, at the Stringer mens store and grounds at Mapinguari, and also at my sister’s store and grounds at the same site, just walk out of the mens store and you’ll see hers!

In the folder with this notecard is a sample of the colours and sizes of the rupees (NOTECARD WILL BE PASSED TO THE FREE*STYLE AND STRINGER GROUP). Wear it to see the sizes that you are looking for. The largest is the green, next blue,red, then lastly gold. The type of rupee determines the type of gift. Here is a rundown:

Greens: 3 mens-skin&hair, 7 unisex-hair&eyes 10 womens-skin&hair
Blues:, 2 unisex-odd items, 4 womens-complete avitar&skin
Reds: 8 unisex-pets/hair/horns3 womens-eyelashes/hair/hat
Golds: L$100 gifttcard, L$250gifttcard, L$400gifttcard

Now the gold rupees are brought out at random, one each day of the hunt. Sometimes it may be more, like the first day, and after that whenever I want to put out extra. Join my group”Stringer’s followers-info group” to know how many on which day, and how much it is.

The gold rupees will only be hidden in my actual stores, just so it’s a bit easier to find, rather then it being the WHOLE grounds. So just the Shrine, Mausoleum and the Mens stores.

A Greek Paradise!

You know I looove to explore beautiful places in SL, so when I saw Beanie Canning’s mini blog on Fashion Finds in Phil’s Place I had to visit.

This stunning place is called the Heart Reef Resort, a virtual remake of a pretty Greek resort, built so beautifully and thoughtfully, I actually felt like I had been transported to Greece (one of my favie holiday destinations). The colours are so vivid and even the sounds effects are so realistic.

The free Linda Mini Dress by Mayuki which was released today, is perfect for a stroll on a cooler day in this resort, this sweet dress comes complete with the long sockies and can be worn alone or with the bolero.

Having a wonderful time…wish you were here!!!

Dawn Designs

Susie Voom left a comment today asking where DawnShop went to, and this reminded me about a post I had planned..

The store ‘formerly known as DawnShop’ has moved and is now called Dawn Designs, it’s located at Rookery Cove. When you land here, you will see a sign with a sexy latex pink outfit. Click the sign next to it to join the group and click this outfit sign wearing your group tag and…hot dammm….this is what you will look like. This outfit includes the white boots and a scarf too (not worn cos it didn’t work with ma hair)

Now go up the stairs to the Dawn Designs store, there are more free items there. This gorgeous outfit (includes shoes and skin).

Also, Dawn has updated her free male Avatar, check this handsome chap out. The skin is a very nice Another Shop mod and it also includes complete outfit/shoes, shape, hair (not worn) and AO. The free female avatar is great too, I have previously featured this on the blog a loong time ago HERE.

Browsing through the blogosphere yesterday, I visited the Second Style Fashionista Blog and discovered that when you pick up the latest issue 15 of the Second Style Magazine in-game, you receive a free pack of stunning LF Chai skins. TP direct to the Second Style HQ at Le Zoo, HERE and the SS Magazine vendor is right outside the entrance, touch the sign and you will be given a package containing the magazine and these gorgeous LF Chai ‘Vedette’ skins in various skin tones and with or without freckles.

I think this skin looks amazing on this shape I made the other day, I will be giving this away soon, once I get my arse into gear and get them boxed up.

Dawnshop Male and Female Starter Avatars

A Free*Style blog reader said I should check out this store called Dawnshop, lots of free gifts and great male and female free starter Avatars. I’m always a but suspicious of newbie avatars, but I tried them on and you know what? pleasantly surprised!!

The skins, hair and shape are really pretty good as you can see from the following pictures. The female one is super-sexy, I don’t usually go for this look for Creamy, I prefer kind of sweet and innocent – but I think a lot of people will like this.

The female av comes complete with modifiable shape, tintable hair, skin, lashes, clothes, shoes and an AO (animation overrider – sexy walk, poses etc). All the items can be worn seperately, so you can wear the hair skin etc on your own shape if you wish. This is the skin and lashes worn on my own homemade shape.

I have included the link to Dawnshop below, these avatars can be found in the signs above the lucky chairs. There are also some other freebies boxed on the table in the store.
