Yummy Gifts For You!

Have you all had a fabulous Easter so far? I’ve had an absolute ball catching up with people I usually only get to see fleetingly due to timezones.

I have some beautiful things to show you. First is this subscribo gift from Trap. The “Koi” tattoo is designed to go with the infamous skins of the same name, I own the Rose, but I thought I’d show off the art work on a plain skin, no other tatts. You can see the progress on Selos’s blog, as well as a really gorgeous full sized shot.

The next outfits are an Easter gift from LeLutka. You get the pants, several belt versions and 4 colours of the shirt. And ssshhh, look closely. There’s a sneak peek of an upcoming release from Dare Designs. The shoes are called “Mistress’ and they are the awesome. Stay tuned for a release date.

The group received a massive box of goodies this morn, but just so you know, if you’re joining now, there will be a 500L fee. So I’m feeling thoroughly sick, I have eaten waaaaaaaay to much choccy today. But Mini Ash is totally stoked at her scoreage (she woke up at 5am to hunt her eggs!)

I had logged into a message the other day from Dakota, asking if I wanted to blog the dollarbies at the new Dakota’s Skins And Shapes. After much squeeing, I answered a terribly sedate “yes please”!! Shown above is the “Prettyboy” shape, a total score and a very welcome change from the huge muscle mary type of shape that makes me roll my eyes. Shown with a shirt from Mayden Couture, Kmad jeans, and some ossum sauce 5L Skull VanZ from Amplify. The skin is an old promo gift from Damiani, which could still be available? “Joshua Deco” is all beaten up and teary, perfect in my books!

I was so excited about my next find, I read about these sneakers here (thanks Gabi!) Get thee to Hoorenbeek to grab em! There’s girls and boys sizes in the gift, you’re looking for a HUGE easter basket. Hit up the subscribo while you’re there, and you’ll be rewarded with this nifty shirt. The skin shown from Laqroki isnt free, but I wanted to show that the shape worked well on diff boy’s skins. All the boy’s hair was a group gift from Kmad, might not be available now, but definitely worth checking the subscribo and inworld group.

LeeZu Baxter sent out this beautiful dress through the subscribo the other day. A million and 27.5 layers and looks to play with! The skin shown is another dollarbie from Dakota. It’s a beautiful Sezmra mod, very delicate and pretty.

Who Knew?

I’m not sure how often this wonderful woman has been blogged but she is very deserving of attention.  Tucked into the corner of the Monkey Mall at Baby Monkey is Rarurick Ragu’s :WhoNose: shop.  Rarurick has a very distinctive style of layered skirts and uses lush colors.  The first dress is an exclusive gift for the Lucky Chair Stalkers group (it’s in my profile).  We recently grew to over 1000 members and Rarurick’s store is a big favorite of one of the group owners, Elliandra Parx. 

I paired the dress with the adorable elven skin and ears that Brutus Martinek gave to the Pididdle subscriber group.  She is eliminating her regular group by the end of the month and going all subscriber.  I believe you must be in the group already to receive the gift so get over there and get your name in.  She is one of my favorites.  The hair is a score from Madam Ashia, who told me that you can get older Kin hair free on XStreet.  All the hair I feature in this post is from there.  There are other styles, including some for men.  

I was telling Rarurick today that her Lucky Boards hate E so she came over and set her boards to wild for a spell and some of us got this incredible dress and egg backpack from her lucky boards.  The colors in the egg are fantastic.  If you don’t want to wait for your letter or want different colors she has a fatpack of eggs for only 50 L.  If you see Rarurick around the grid she is probably wearing a Lucky Board backpack that really gives out prizes!  Look for her for a gorgeous pink dress.  The skin I am wearing in the last three pictures is a new dollarbie from Beauty Avatar called Alyssa. 

I’ve been anticipating these shoes for a long time.  My darling Pixieplumb Flanagan, the creator of Baby Monkey shoes has been working on these hunnies for awhile.  The Ultimates are prim footed shoes and get this:  You can pick your skin tone from a menu (or you can match colors)! The nail color can be changed as well as the toe rings.  This style was a group gift today to the Baby Monkey Junkies group.  There are 4 more styles in about a million colors.  And even better: if you are a member of the Baby Monkey Junkies group you can get them for 100 L a pair!!!!  Nongroup members can get them for 150 L, which is still a bargain, but Pixie is such a generous designer and always working so hard to expand her selection.  I’ve been a devoted fan forever!  

 I received this incredible dress yesterday from On the Catwalk through their subscriber.  It is a very sexy number which wonderful texturing.  I didn’t show the back but it has a great skull graphic.  It’s hard-core and posh at the same time.  It is #1 (Ed Hardy mini-gift) in the messages.  I haven’t taken in off since I got it. 

PS.  Rarurick just added a Midnight Mania at :WhoNose:, too, for an amazing color change jewelry set!

Bunny Fever And Sparkly, Magical Unicorns

I think I must have had a glitter overdose, cos if I haven’t been running round the grid dressed as a magical unicorn, I’ve been hopping round decked out like a bunneh!! Just like Ach, my daughter thoroughly approved of my attire today, although she did ask at one point for moar pink.. ahem.

The other day, I got a notice from Prism Haute Couture and off I went to check out the new releases. I was also lucky enough to get this dollarbie while I was there, shoes included. It’s the perfect spring outfit, can be mixed with anything else you may have in your inv already!

This is the not free new release, but it’s so gorgeous and fun I had to show it. Journey McLaglen told me that she had a great time putting this together, and personally I think it shows. I didn’t even have to fiddle with the prims, can’t get better than that seeing as prims and I = fail!!

This cutey is from Apple May Designs and is 10l till the end of the weekend. Shown with amazing boots from Bax Cohen, not free but look how gorgeous they are! Plus you have a million ways to customize them to make the look your own, a nifty ankle fixer and all sorts of other things that make em worthy of the L’s.

3am, all was not well in the Tomsen household, mainly due to my super loud boinking neighbours, who not only woke me up, but Mini Ash too, grrr. And the grid was broked too, awesome. So I was moaning on Plurk about my Sasybum being MIA and me missing her terribly. Well I found out last night there’s a terribly good reason for her not hanging out. Shoes. Awesome sauce ballet flats to be precise. Sasy has a new project on the go, named “Flair”.

Lola79 Heinrichs has been making some adorable things for Otaku Designs. She’s nice enough to outfit the discriminating animorph avatar completely, from legwarmers to pants to adorable t-shirts to jewelry. Her legwarmers are works of art, and there are several free and dollarbie ones in different colors available at her shop. They fit perfectly over the shoe base for katat0nik’s legwarmer boots! Fashionable Relay Challenge!

It’s my turn in the Fashionable Relay Challenge that the lovely Sasy Scarborough started up a few days ago. Samsara Barzane created a fabulous look for her part of the challenge, and the rules of the game are that I take one item she rocked out in and wear it here. Of course, this being Free*Style, I found a few good freebies to pair with the item I chose, the /artilleri/ scarf (but in blue & not free).

I first headed to Tuli’s hunt on her Journey sim to find some items to pair with the awesome /artilleri/ scarf. One of the prizes to find is her Kalista skin in a makeup especially for the hunt, “Valentine,” and I’m wearing the “light” skin tone. I also found this adorable cable knit cropped sweater vest in “Sand” that Tuli made too. It’s a great neutral and basic piece that goes with so much.

Then I checked out the massive 50% off sale going on at Sn@tch. Not free, but the deals to be had are too good not to post about! I picked up this thermal and these delicious chocolate cords at such a steal. Rumor has it that some items in the “Cheapie Room” are marked down to $0L during the weekend-long sale!

A few other free items I found to finish off my post for the Relay Challenge that aren’t new but are great basics. These light blue Miriel eyes are part of the wearable demos graciously set out in-store, and these Maitreya pumps are a group gift for joining the subscribe-o-matic that Suri recently blogged.

I’m so happy happy this morning!! I have the house to myself again as I had given my roomie notice, and he’s gooooone!! I know it’s mean to celebrate so much, but some people you can live with and some….well lets just say you can’t 😛 The concurrent theme for this post is lucky chair exclusives. Choclit (Channeling Ames)

So my beautiful and talented Ames is giving up her blog. She’s such a good writer too, but alas RL has the better of her atm. Soooo, because she *can’t* stop finding good shit when she has the time, she’ll be passing the info to me and demanding asking me to write on her behalf.

So this first one’s from Ames. According to my email, she dropped this on me at about 6am, around about the time I was yelling at Mini Ash to get back to bed and *no* we couldn’t go to the store to get ice cream FCOL. I present to you Magical Choclit Croissant Hair. You’ll find this and the clothes shown here at Concrete Flowers. There’s a whole wall of dollarbies, as well as a WTF wall, Creams you’ll love it, unfortunately none of it was trans or I would have sent you something *special* 😛 The cute choker came from Kosh, conveniently located next door to Concrete flowers. There’s a wicked scripted Neko set for free, and some really pretty dollarbie jewelery to be had. Thank you Ms Ames, heart you all over the place!!

ACDC, an Aussie tradition. Now you can wear em inworld thanks to Candace from Sweeter Than Candy, who sent this out to the group with the yummy boots shown. The pants shown aren’t free, they’re my faves though, you can find them at Axel.

Last but by no means least, this complete pack from Mayden Couture. The skin is included. It’s very dark in tone, making a nice change from my favored “Death warmed up” choice of shade! There is some really heavy shading under the lips, which could have been made worse by my shape as it doesn’t look as dark in the ad pics instore, best to try it on your shape to see how it looks. The makeup is beautiful though, and the body very nicely done. And now I’m off to get some chubby poses, as since making my shape bigger, I’m having “hands vanishing inside my body” issues. Yes, it’s as painful as it sounds 😛 Ash Out.
