More RFL Treats

This year’s Relay for Life Clothing Fair is nothing short of spectacular.  I arrived low-ARC(16) with full pockets and ended up buying more Lindens while I was there.  While you can go and load up on freebies and cheapies (I sure do!), the Fair benefits the American Cancer Society, so if you have Lindens to spend now is the time.  You will get beautiful limited edition outfits and be helping a worthy cause. I’ve included slurls to each item.  It will not take you directly to the item but if you follow the red arrow you should be able to easily find these. 

The first outfit is only 1 L at The Crystal Queendom.  It is named Princess Jen’ire and has a regal quality befitting royalty.  No expense was spared in quality from livinglight Yiyuan, the creator.  Absolutely stunning and includes resize scripts.  This gorgeous outfit can be found on Sim 6. 
Crisscrossing over to Sim 1 I found this great free highwaisted skirt at Ingenue. It’s called High Seas, keeping with the Pirate theme of this year’s fair. I paired it with a free white blouse I found at Ash Style (not at the fair).  I particularly love this blouse because if you’ve ever looked you will find it’s hard to find plain white tops in SL. 
I have a penchant in RL and SL for menswear so I was excited to find this free suit at Sartoria (back over on Sim 6), right by the Crystal Queendom. It’s called Positano and it’s for men but I think it looks hot on women.  The manspanker (!!) is one of those freebies that you can pick up in lots of free BDSM gear boxes throughout SL.  I probably have 5 or 6.  
I definitely have a silly side and was so geeked when I hit the subscriber at Total Betty and was rewarded with this free Laundry Day outfit.  If only it was this easy to clean up my inventory! It’s been a constant battle since I figured out how to leave Orientation Island. 

Don’t be afraid to de-prim.  You will look more stupid if you don’t!

For the Love of Crashing

I swear lately if I’m not crashing every time I try and edit a prim or TP somewhere, I’m turning black on some part or all of my body!  Between that and my son taking over the computer on weekends, I thought I would never complete this post! 

Pure Style has 2 locations, each with different goodies to discover.  At the Buncrana location, I got this adorable blue dress for free. The Eternity necklace was 1 L at Violet Voltaire (heaps of dollarbies there on the top level). The stockings are part of a fatpack of stockings from ALB Dream Fashion and were not free but a great deal at 99L.   The blue French Kiss shoes are inexpensive (50L) from Unique Needs. Quite a nice look for very little cost.  The hair I recently won at Junwave’s lucky board. 

This way cute dress is also from Pure Style at the Aventi Isle location and is free if you touch the voting station.  It’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day but what I like about it is that I can wear it year around.  The stockings are from Sock Shop and I must have gotten them as a Christmas dollarbie but there are other dollarbies in the shop (different dollarbies at different locations) as well as for a limited time a cute 2 L cupcake hat.  There is a really cute pair of socks at the Floyd location called Blue Bird socks that would be perfect with this dress.  
On a different note, I must share with you a shop that us Lucky Chair Stalkers have grown fond of called Jeckalicious.  I scored both of these coats on the lucky chairs there.  There are also other outfits on the chair and there are two chairs on 10 minute timers so it moves quickly. The details could not be more intricate.  Look at those arm straps and stitching on the gown portion.  These are defininte new staples in my wardrobe.  
What I particularly LOVE LOVE LOVE about these jackets is that they come with 3 lengths as well as an open and closed style.  And even better (especially for me since I crash ever time I try to adjust prims) a resize script.  The pants I wore in the bottom picture are probably my favorite pants in my inventory; 10 L Bastard Britches from Bare Rose’s UFonly HQ.  The skin is free at Fleur as one of the newbie skin tones and the unisex hair is free also at Boon.

Top O’ the Mornin’ to Ya!

I have a confession to make… I still have Ghosts from the Halloween Hunt to open.   Then if you’ve been around, it’s been POE and Kissed and GL, not including all the lovely smaller hunts. Now St. Patrick’s day is approaching and there is an abundance of green on the grid…and I can’t resist.  Green means Spring and I love Spring; right now, I NEED Spring!  

I went to Kosh to follow up on Elusyve’s post and got lucky and won these great shorts there. Serving as an inspiration for the rest of the look, I found the socks for free at Don’t Ask.  They and the boots are from Zenith.  The boots aren’t free and I’ve had them for ages.  They are still there if you are interested. I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth.  The corset top is from Polina Kaestner, which is having a 50% sale at the Cupcakes location.  At 40 L I consider it a steal.  I could seriously go all fangirl about P-K.  The adorable cap is the current group gift from Curious Kitties.  As you can see from the close up below that it has a little face with button eyes. 
I’m a big sucker for faces on things.  The tattoo also was not free but cheap at Phlow, which I am sad to see is closing.  Nothing there right now is over 100 L. There is also a free black/pink bra at the front that I often use as a retroesque top with high-wasted pants.  Last but not least, the lip ring was a subscriber gift from Milestone Creations.  There are 2 lucky chairs that are featuring St. Pat’s themed Neko items and a camper for a darling bracelet. 
These pants were a nice surprise that I picked up for 1 L at The Sea Hole. They couldn’t be a better match for the corset, which I think is insanely sexy. The corset is one of several free items you can pick up from the ever-generous Pixie at Baby Monkey.  I got the boots for free at Vinyl Cafe, who is always offering amazing freebies in the form of shoes, boots and stockings (I love the half stockings!) 
Look at these buttons up the back.  I defy you to deny this is not hotness — and free to boot (all for a holiday that I try to repress as it brings back memories of standing in sub-zero tents drinking green kegger beer).  Give me this corset instead! 
Last but not least, I just had to show off the free pumps from Baby Monkey because they can’t be cuter!

Lewis Carroll is by far my most favorite writer of verse, child stories. It’s so imaginative, colorful, crazy, barbaric, dark & often dreamlike.

Anyway, when my great friend Wednesday Soon of Woo’s mentioned about the anniversary Alice dresses at Dreaming Alice, I went galumphing on over!

Usually a tube top would make me yawn, but the shading on this one is perfect and reminds me of my fav camisoles from Beauty Avatar (not free). It comes in a pretty violet color and 2 different style variations, depending on how busty you are. Instant layering piece! I looovee.

Fashion as Therapy aka. *le sigh*

(and exhale…) *ahhhhhh* I’ve had a tough week, and forgoing any details let’s just say “thank goodness for shopping!” I am from the camp that believes that shopping IS therapy. Mine at least! I mean, I’ll sit on a couch any day, but it better be swathed in rosy velvet and be very very comfortable. Then I can sit and try on shoes with you. ;))

Aside from the RL tough parts, my SL life has been a breeze. No boy drama, no bad purchases, and I got lucky a LOT. Which for me, is the ultimate mood booster. I don’t need drugs people, just give me this hot pink muffler from DP*yumyum. (Ok, a cosmo too, only because it matches ;)) The muffler is a gift on the new lucky boards in the store and let me tell you- soo pretty! It comes with button/no button options and that big bow makes a girl’s heart swell. 

I also stopped by the juicy sim and ooohhhh, all of us can get lucky here! I picked up some Kookie shoes, and so should you! If you don’t own any of her awesome designs yet, now is your chance to scoop some up for free! After you decide they are amazing and want more, run over to her store and buy some of her cute muggys (my new non-free fav). After all…they are all 50% off! This won’t last forever so make haste.

I’m also wearing sn@tch’s dragonfly dress, which is cute and a little nasty too. I like ;)) It comes with the leggings and bangles, so one can layer up or layer down as she pleases.

This bracelet is from Violet Voltaire, and it’s also available at the Juicy sim! The matching earrings, pictured below, are a grand opening gift from Tuli’s new sim Journey. So you can sim hop to complete the set! (We all know Tuli from the amazing skins Adaire wore in the post below. Not to mention the skins we’ve bought and wear all the time.)

Violet is also having a 50% off sale for all pink items, ONLY at her store @ Journey. I’m a big fan of Violet’s sweet/tart jewelry and if you haven’t seen it, all it takes is a look to fall in love.

I noticed you eyeing my skin, o thank you, it’s La Sylphide’s newest Lucky Chair prezzie! (Thank you Ash for the tippie.) Gorgie isn’t it? I love the matte red lips and the slit of green eyeshadow. It’s called party girl, I assume because it’s dressier makeup. I, on the other hand, call it party girl because I wanted to throw one after putting it on! Another instant mood booster.

These purdy chokers were sent over to me by Sanu Collars owner Sanura. They are at once, very beautiful, a little tough and quite sexy. Each choker comes with a glow/non-glow option and you can put scripts in them if you’d like it to function as a collar!

Personally, I’m quite happy to see chokers like this, they differ from the usual plain black leather/spikes/pearls variety yet remain very versatile. 

I love the details on them! Zoom in, they are flawless.

This design is available only in the lucky chair and I think it’s the most elegant & cool Halloween choker I’ve come across in SL! I like orange so I’ll be wearing this year round for sure.

Raspberry Love Goddess and other fine tales

In the last few days I’ve come across some gorgeous pink dresses. The color of fresh raspberry juice: bright & sweet..lil bit tart. ;)) It’s getting to be ball gown season. For some this is year round, for me, I synonymously think of ball gowns and the darkness of autumn. Pay it no mind- I read a lot as a child; I saw too many Disney films. 😉 

Slipping on dresses like these bring me back..

And what is this? A perfectly matching headdress? These flowers are like lollipops from nature. I feel like an updated, hippie version of Glenda the Good Witch. I guess I should take the time to tell you about my obsession with Life is Good. This sim is just gorgeous: Ino Jie & Porta Fosse have made a sim from my dreams. Ino is fantastic artist (I own a couple of her pieces) and SL gardener; her ivy, sweet clover and strawberries adorn the elven arch at my home and make me smile every time I pass through. Porta has an amazing musical performance space and I have been waiting with perked ears for a sign of a concert. (Until then I will wait patiently as I listen to my Music is Good radio- not free- available at the sim.) 

This headdress makes me so so happy, instant happiness like instant coffee. It is a group gift from the LIG update group, and I urge you to join, retrieve said headdress, wear and take pictures in it, while dancing naked with your favorite people in a field of daisies. *le sigh* Pretty things do this to me.

I’m also wearing the lipgloss gift from the BP* group. (see 2nd post photo, above.) Like prim nails, it’s prim lipgloss and will instantly make your lips softer, shiner, pinker. If it doesn’t fit just right, go into your edit menu and adjust each linked part independently.

BP*‘s BettiePaige also sent the group this pumpkin patch today. Be prepared, it’s big! (Only 12 prims though.) A perfect scene for all your Halloween pictures, it has three pumpkins so you can pose with all your friends! 

This pumpkin head, necklace and shirt/underwear set is from the Isle of Tranquility’s Halloween giveaway. There are little carts set all around the sim, so you can walk around and trick or treat early. The pumpkin head can be found outside iTuTu– the ultra cute garden shop, along with some spiderwebs for your home. You can pick up the necklace from Amerie’s Naughty shop and then hop on by Den-Dou for the bloody (and also unbloody) clothes set (and the amazing limited edition Vampire skin Olivia wrote about on Oct 1st, not free).  There’s also some lit up branches and this beautiful dress Adaire wrote about from DP*YumYum.

Wrapping it up is this fine number from Butterfly Princess. Sexy, frilly, feminine and dark (when paired with Ashia’s fab Halloween skin), it’s simply perfect.
