Hai kids!! First up, two fabulous dollarbies from two of my fave designers!!

On the left, we have an awesome tank from Strayer. I love Yohan’s quirky designs, and he loves my “speak”, so it works out well!!! The Pants aren’t free, but they’re avail at Strayer if you wanna pick them up. And on the right, a new dollarbie from Jojo of Wigwambam. It’s a wee bit see through (read hawt), and the phrase on it means “long time no see”. Jojo’s also been kind enough to place some of her dollarbies at the Free*style main store, woot!!! It’s so chock full of wicked stuff now, if you haven’t checked it out before, do so post haste!

Check out this lollitastic gift from Alchemy!! The dress and sunnies come in a wicked picnic basket, you have heaps of bright colours to pick from (for the sunnies) and flower particles you can wear or place (if you have land). Yay, I’m so glad to be back and alive! Honestly everytime I get on a flight I feel like I am dicing with death and that I have survived when the plane lands. Drama queen, Moi?

It’s taken me a while to get back in the swing of things here, I’ve returned to lots of notecards and IMs and emails. If you have contacted me and I don’t reply in the next few days, I’ve probably lost your notecard/not received your IM so please contact me again, I’m in such a muddle!

Anyway on to the goodies. I took a pic in SL a few weeks ago and edited it to look like a sort of pop art print. Tarissa Tripsa left a comment with a great idea that it would look good on a tee. I attempted to create it myself and, well, it looked like shit.

Four Yip kindly created one for me and it rocks! I’ve placed it for free at Free*Style. It comes in yellow and purple with little ribbon ties on the shoulders. Thankiiiieeees Four.

When I saw a note about Sai Pennell’s “Paparazzi” pose release for couples, I think I was the first person to hit “buy.” I loved the idea and started hunting around Imperial Elegance for other poses when I ran into Sai herself. It went something like this:

Adaire: “Sai, this is such a great idea!! Could you make single paparazzi poses??”
Sai: “Sure! I love ideas from customers. I could probably have it done by next week.”
[Meanwhile, a nooblet tps into the shop and begins to pace back and forth, a seemingly common nooblet trait.]
Nooblet: “Can I have some lindens?” [comes to a halt]
Sai & Adaire: [in unison] “No.”
(Long, dramatic pause.)
Nooblet: “Why?” [begins pacing again]
(Another long, dramatic pause.)
Adaire: “Because panhandling isn’t sexy in any world, including Second Life.” Please note: the circle R symbol does not need to be used within the context of a quotation. I has lawyer skillz.
(Yet another long, dramatic pause. At this point, the pauses couldn’t be any more dramatic.)
Nooblet: “Sexy. Mmm.”
(Dead silence)
(Sai & Adaire switch to IM)

Poor Sai was mortified that the nooblet was harassing her customers, but I assured her it was quite alright. It seems to be always mysterious as to how any nooblet finds his or her way to a nice shop and not a free sex beach, but it is what it is.

The good news is that Sai did make individual paparazzi poses and they are superfantastic! They are available in her shop as a pack for $500L or as individual poses for $50L. You can see the “I’m so famous I have to throw up my hand to block the cameras to demonstrate just how famous I am” poses below as I go shopping around like said famous person would at Velvet.

“Adaire the Faux Famous” arrives on the scene in a helicopter to go shopping, as crashing cars while trying to park on the street are so 2007. I picked up the new KatatOnik on Axis Mundi freebies earlier and they couldn’t be more yummy! KatatOnik (or “Kat” for short, because I’m never sure if that is a capital “O” or a zero) did a pink version of the much loved black legwarmer boots! YAY! The butterfly skirt is just $1L and has the perfect flounce to it when you strut like a celeb. The sheer top (you can wear 2 layers of it if you aren’t feeling like showing off the tatas) is available in a pack of 3 colors for $90L and went so well that I couldn’t resist. The Fresh Baked goods “salt water taffy” bracelets are free at Velvet and the “Silver Jelly Gem Donut Bangle” is available for $100L (which is script-driven for both the bangle colors and the gems on it, making it so versatile!). The skin is a free and very pretty Eloh mod by W&Y. The “Knotted, Too!” hairstyle is available in a 3 color pack for $150 at Tousled that I picked up while snagging a freebie style that comes in every color!

Clio Cardiff of Clio -Pret a Porter- has done it again and put out two to-die-for dollarbie dresses in fun summery colors that are perfect to be caught on camera wearing. This purple halter dress called “Silvia” is available for a limited time in just her Little Italy location.

This delish “Shambi” skin is a subscribe-o-matic gift from our very own Ashia Tomsen of Ashia Designs and is still available (and newp, she didn’t put me up to it!). This is the first time I tried a darker skin and now I have to go back and buy more because it’s gorgy! The “Matera” sunglasses in Purple are free at Mokoptica towards the back of the store. These stunning “Classica” shoes of smexyness are free as of today from Allesse in Rue D’Antibes. Hit up the subscribe-o-matic for the shopping centre to get a head’s up on other great deals.

The “Tuli” hairstyle in Black from House of Heart isn’t free, but if you do the hunt that is ending today, you can get “Tuli” in Berry for free and 13 other great styles too! Hurry!

Hmmm…even though crashing cars may not be in vogue, I like how I look getting out of this one, lol. Clio’s other dollarbie is available at her main location for group members. Join Clio Cardiff & Co. and visit her shop to snag it and find out about other great deals. The “Push” hairstyle in Rebel is available for $199L as a three color pack from Philotic Energy.

The Kunglers sisters are also spoiling us rotten with a brand new top this week. I paired it with a Kunglers pair of black jeans to drool on this kyoot Mini that I’d love to cruise Rodeo Drive with while making angry gestures at paparazzi. The clutch is free from the above mentioned Allesse. The choker and earrings are free from Talisman. The sunglasses are another freebie from Mokoptica that is also in-store. The “Tayler” hair in Charcoal is available from Philotic Energy ($199L).

Could you get any more paparazzi-feisty than this pose?! This dress is the newest group member dollarbie from Marinoco Fashion and screams sassy. I found some more great finds and great pics from members of the Flickr Free*Style group. Woot! Up first we have the lurrrvely Itny Lisle giving us a little fun in the sun. Her ‘kini is a freebie from Popfuzz. The Marilyn tee is free from Embellished. The shades are $15 (but strangely marked as a “freebie”) from SpeXx and the bracelet is a part of a very generous gift from ::69::, available in-store. Her green peacock earrings are a lucky chair gift from Microphage.
The not-free-but-fabu stuff includes her hair from Abyss and Naughty Designs and her Fashionably Dead skin. Isn’t that lil’ dab of sunscreen on her lil’ nose kyoot?

Next up is Vixxon Sass! Her skin is the Quelito Soon skin in Darjeeling – Acceso that was a Bianca F group gift (one of the best subscribe-o-matics in SL for generous gifts!). The leather vest is free from the much blogged and loved teddy bear hunt at Asri Falcone. It’s labeled as a men’s gift but isn’t it the yum on Ms. Sass? The boots are the also loved dollarbie from Katat0nik on Axis Mundi that Creamy blogged here. The bracelet is free from Edge Grafika. (LOTS of cool freebies there!) And last but not least, I found a boi to post about. It’s Free*Style gone “G Style.” These pictures and finds came about when he was giving me heck about how long it takes me to do just one little post. (It takes a lot longer than you’d think, but don’t get me wrong – I love it!) I turned to him and said “HA! Why don’t YOU try it?!” And he did. And, he now admits that it’s a lot harder than it looks. Adaire for the WIN!

G is rocking the free “Black and White Suit” from the beloved Yip! It comes in many colors too! His “Jack” skin and hair are both free from the Gnubie Store from Random Fashions. His Decollage eyes are also $0L and are also available at the Gnubie Store.

I think he’s looking rather dapper thanks to Yip, but it’s a darn shame that the only time I can get G in a suit is for a post!! Below, he’s got on a “Made in Germany” tee by iNFLiCT that’s available from the German Fashion Expo at Vanity. It’s worth noting that there are a decent amount of guy and unisex freebies available there. Yay! His yummily ripped up “Zoltan” jeans are a dollarbie from PomJ. There’s also a blue pair for $2L. The piercings are from FlipSide and aren’t free, but G won’t take ’em off for anything since he got them.

Sexy Sloth Sunday

I’m enjoying my Sunday tremendously by imitating a sloth. I went to the zoo yesterday and saw a few sloths, and I thought to myself, “Wow. That’s a good gig.” Needless to say, there are some great freebies out there and I’ll try to post them in between sloth fests on the couch with artesian beers (I’m obsessed with microbrews, much to the chagrin of my abs) and the boyfriend yelling at the TV during various sporting events.

I was thinking “Hollywood Sunday Brunch Sloth” and came up with this. The dress is a freebie from Dawn Shop that I snagged during that Asri Falcone teddy bear hunt for RFL that I blogged about earlier. It appears to be still going on and while I have no idea of the end date, it would be a shame if you missed it, as there are really nice outfits and skins to be had. The glasses are a freebie from [Mokoptica] that I just lurve. Head to the back of the store for those. The skin is called {Frick} Tan – Flourish (Purple Shadow) and is available from Fricka Morgath’s store (which is chock full of fabulous Eloh mods – I’ll show more soon because they’re so creative and fun!). I love the fact that the skin comes with a versatile purpley-pink nail polish. It saves me from wrestling with poses and prim nails, which is usually a very, very bad scene. The hair is a group gift from Comme il Faut that a few Free*Style foxes blogged earlier and the shoes are Armidi Gisaci Rio Beleza Wedges (not free).

Then I imitated a schizo sloth and tried out the Neko thing. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m completely crap at doing the Neko, Vamp, Elf, and/or other various character thing on SL. I’m actually writing a series of articles about “finding my inner neko,” but she just isn’t there, so I suspect I’ll publish it in about 75 years. I asked one person I know (who declined vociferously to have this quote attributed to him) about how to be a Neko, and he said, “Oh, just put on as much sh!t as possible. Bam! You’re Neko.”

Anyway, the hair is a =TEKUTEKU= freeebie Creamy blogged previously that seemed to fit the bill. The neko appendages are also Creamy finds from [OZ] Hiding Place that aren’t free but *really* decently priced for the neko parts market. The skin is another freebie {Frick} find. The camo tank is by F.A.T. Designz and is free at the German fashion expo at Vanity Universe. The aquamarine Decollage eyes are free at the Gnubie store. The boots are the freebie “Legwarmer Boots” by Katat0nik that are free at Axis Mundi. The bracelet is a dollarbie from GaZoV DeSiGnS — the designer, Greta Gazov, is putting out two new dollarbies in her shop each day until Friday! These were yesterday’s and are no longer available, but you can pick up some killer neko-inspired freebies today that are kyoot-ness approved. The boombox bag is from I-Candy and was a gift sent out through the Fashion Consolidated group.

The kitteh is called “Sweet Leo Kitty” and is a group gift from SWEET LEOnard that is still available. The “crazy mouse” perched on my shoulder is really fun! He crawls around all over ya and is available for free from B2B Design.
Non-freebies but fabulous finds include the jeans and hospital bracelets from EBT Threads and Tattoos. (There’s a 1/2 off skin sale that is *definitely* worth checking out with pretty makeups and beaten-up looks for only $300 Ls.) The lip piercings are from FlipSide. The panda leg bag is from *KANA-NA*. The “Ripped Leash” choker is from Good Life.

And yep, that was as much sh!t as I could put on, so hopefully that makes me a semi-genuine neko, lol. BAM!
