Loco Pocos

Phil’s place is full of gamers, people that have played playstation and such and came here looking for more. I’m a diehard Final Fantasy fan myself!!! This post is for you and me and tinies!! Loco Pocos are new avatars, fully interactive and off the chart adorable! They have a whole island for you to explore and hunt for treasure!

The lava is AMAZING. It totally blew my mind! You solve the puzzles in each area and claim your treasure. The release for the opening is below.

“LOCO POCOS ISLAND – Damien Fate has gone out on limb, literally, to bring to the Second Life grid an interactive destination unlike any other.
On July 9, 2008, Second Life ™ residents will be able to experience, first hand, the magic that is Loco Pocos Island. The island is built with a story in mind, and visitors are invited to search the island for pages from the unfortunate Captain B. Bonnik’s journal. Each journal entry will piece together the history of Loco Pocos Island and will lead the visitor to secret locations where special tasks and rewards await. The centerpiece of the island is the mythical tree, Rokeden. With it’s rich texturing, imaginative design and Fate’s characteristic attention to detail, visitors to the sim will instantly become immersed in, and a part of, the fantasy that is the story of Loco Pocos Island.
Fate felt inspired to create Loco Pocos Island hoping to bring a unique experience to Second Life residents. “My dream was to create something new in SL, not with just a product, but a whole island experience. Something that is intuitive, bringing things to a whole new level and above all, bring everyone in SL together by removing all language barriers possible.” Fate continued. “Sims can be so much more than just a store, avatars can be so much more than just prims.”
Loco Pocos, which, loosely translated, means “crazy tinies”, are the inhabitants of this magical island. Each sculpted avatar, equipped with a user-friendly HUD, is meticulously detailed and textured. The Loco Pocos are infinitely customizable via the HUD for maximum personalization. Each avatar is able to emote and gesture via the HUD and wearing any of the multiple Loco Pocos accessories automatically updates the HUD with the appropriate customization options for that item.
The HUD itself is designed to offer maximum ease-of-use. The graphic icons are easily recognizable and a users manual, translated into seven languages, has been provided for those who prefer text based instruction. Overall, though, each avatar and it’s HUD was designed so that the end-user could visit the Island Store, purchase an avatar and begin exploring all of the island’s adventures within minutes.
Prior to beginning the Loco Pocos project, Fate worked with the Electric Sheep Company, playing a major role in the development of such notable projects as Ben and Jerry’s island, IBM Sentinel 2.0, and CSI:NY (tv shows and inworld game/machinima), independently developed a popular line of Final Fantasy avatars, and the mirada.smartHUD, an emotion HUD which, to date, has sold over 5,000 units.
Fate was joined in this endeavor by his partner and wife, Washu Zebrastripe. Zebrastripe is a beta lifetime member of Second Life and is the original creator of prim hair. Fate and Zebrastripe are also co-owners of the Hairspray Sim.
To kick off the Grand Opening of Loco Pocos Island, a massive scavenger hunt event will begin at Noon SLT on July 9, 2008. Visitors to the sim on this date will have the opportunity to win a unique avatar which will only be available during events at Loco Pocos Island.”

A while back, Creams started doing some posts on lucky chairs with gorgy, original content. So I was more than thrilled when Lokum Shilova from Crimson Shadow let me know about an event of sorts they’re having with their lucky chairs. Here’s a snippet from the note:
“At Crimson Shadow we have a new Lucky Chair Item called CS Red Long Lace Dress full with shoes and elegance a superb gown normally sold at 900 Lindens in store created by Moxie Polano exclusive Crimson Shadow. It is now in the store until 21st of July”

My pictures really don’t do this amazing dress justice. It comes with shoes and stockings also, oh happy day if your letter comes up!! The hair I’m wearing is available at Crimson Shadow for an L, the bangs didn’t come with it, I added them myself, as once again my head was too big for the style. Really, size 50 is NOT big, I’m all in proportion!!! Hair makers must be getting smaller XD!!

From the 7th July, for 3 weeks, this dress will be in the lucky chair at Rezzable Cascade Fashion Centre, along with a tux for the bois and the filthy boots I’m wearing in the last 2 pics.

The wicked fishnet top was sent out this morn in the Fashcon group. I’m wearing it here with pasties as nips on the feed is a nono, but you lot feel free to flaunt your bewbs to your heart’s content!! The choker is a gift from the ever generous Kikis Homewood. Her store had a change of name a few months ago, (from Kiki’s Closet to P/A Affordance) and now has had a change of location. Don’t worry lads, theres a version for you too!! Grab it while you can, as the jewelery here is out of this world, without doubt my all time favorite pieces come from here. There’s also a freebie wall with a kimono, and 3 cute mini hats that have been blogged before. The hair? Not free, but the latest style from Shop Seu…….that store is fast becoming the slove of my life!! It even has a freakishly natural hair line, LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

WigWamBam!!

Nothing gives me greater pleasure than bringing new designers to you. Joodle Fadoodle is one such designer, she’s just opened 2 small stores here in Phil’s Place called WigWamBam . I’m in slove with her stuff. She has a small, but incredibly well done selection, and I have a feeling she’ll be one to keep a close eye on in the future!! The textures are beautifully hand drawn, with nice attention to detail. Just yum folks!

She has put out a dollarbie for us, a super sweet summer dress. It’s light and breezy, just perfect for a beach day! While I was in the store, I couldn’t help but spend some money!!! These are a couple of the full price items Jojo offers.

She has a fab collection a capris (my fave kinda pant btw), tops and dresses. I can’t wait to see more from her!!

I was on a mission. A mission to find the sweetest, most sugary clothes on the grid. Guess what? Sweeter Than Candy had me covered in more ways than one.

I blogged this store in one of my first posts for Free*style, so I was more than happy to be a part of the new main store opening celebrations. Candace Morgwain has always been terribly generous to us, and baby she went all out for her new store. And yes, it says cute on my ass….spelled with a “C”!

Join the subscribo, it doesn’t take up group space and if you hurry, there’s still 2 outfits there in the history. Then run to the new Sweeter Than Candy location. Gifts galore await you. There are several freebies and dollarbies, and if you take the time to go to the second floor, you’ll find heavily discounted clothes for those of you with a few lindens to spend.

I couldn’t resist the ballet flats in delicious pastel colours, only 10l each if I remember correctly. Also a dazzling array of separates in a rainbow of colours.

This post also gave me a chance to pull on a pair of my all time favorite shoes, the RFL Priscilla shoes from Tesla. When I saw this morning they were available in different colours now, I don’t think I could’ve TP’d faster! For 300l you get these wicked shoes in 4 colours, and the money goes to a really good cause. As young as I am, even my life has been touched by cancer, as I’m sure has alot of yours. Most of us know someone, or have a family member who is a survivor, so if you have some spare lindens chuck em Tesla’s way.

Don’t Ask!

Tonight is the grand opening of Don’t Ask! The designers are putting out dollarbies and freebies as we speak woot. There’s also a huge party where you could win some cold hard lindens for having the best formal attire. I had pics to show you, unfortunately RL has other ideas, but I wanted to post as I promised I would. As soon as I get back I will edit to put in pics!
