Oh god I hate it when I wake up, and it’s raining, been raining all night. Dark skies at 7am are just wrong. Specially on a Weds, specially when mini Ash decided at 2.30am that there was no way on earth she could sleep in her own bed. Specially when she takes up my whole damn bed.

Van Stantz, he makes me happy, in fact he makes me squee. These amazing boots are yours for free, for a limited time at EvA. As always, they are scripted sculpts of yum, and we are spoilt rotten. Be sure to fangirl Van and Evangeline if you see them!

Next we have a gorgeous opening dollarbie from Amaranthus, a new project from Elbereth Nightfire of Star Kindler fame. This is a bit of a departure from the jewelery we are used to from this talented designer, featuring Victorian gothic pieces that are just stunning. The perfect foil for these gorgy silks from Silk & Satyr, also an opening gift. Do hit up the subscribo, and do spend lots of lindens in this yummy store, it’s my first choice for silks…….srsly.

And here is where Ash got thoroughly fed up today!!! Ash and Q were looking decidedly similar, so here we have the new (for the moment) Ash! I’m prob the only one that can tell the difference, but that kinda counts..right?!

I haven’t posted about the cutest store on the grid for awhile. Lo*momo long ago claimed that title in my books, and there has been no contender since!! Shown here are a mixture of group gifts (avail in store with tag activated) dollarbies and the Bunny Hop gift. Ohh and there’s 2 lucky boards there now, both dresses eluded me, but they are stunning. Cattleya!

So yesterday, while we were stalking the Umi Usagi chair for the amazing outfit Elusyve showed, Eden’s like have you heard of Cattleya? The name sounded familiar, I thought it was the hair place she had blogged a few days ago…duh. Soo not.!

Cattleya is a gorgeous little store, choc full of beautiful dresses. The full price ones are ridiculously cheap, but the are also 5 lucky boards FTW, and a whole wall of freebies. I recognised the name as they have some outfits at Fujiyama’s Geisha Freebie Store, check out that post here.

The dresses shown here are from the freebie wall and from the lucky boards. One was on A when I landed, and then it just snowballed!!

You’ll find all sorts of styles here, as well as some super cute separates.

I’ve shown a couple of the new hairs from Dejavu, not free but gorgeous, once I could get them to fit my head. Which brings me to my next question. If you make hair, and demo small, medium and large sizes, why not sell those also? It totally confuses me and I’d love to know the answer from all you amazing hair makers out there! Ash Out.

Busy busy busy, shopping shopping shopping

Gosh what a busy day!! Yep last minute rushes before Xmas as usual for me. My kids finish school on Friday so I’m trying to get my shopping done before then, as I’ll have no time (or inclination) do it after that.

I probably won’t get so much SL time as Xmas is fast approaching, (I imagine the same goes for my fellow bloggers). I have decided to place a special Xmas Freebie Tips comments box on our blog where you can all leave tips, you can also join the Free*Style Flickr Group to show photo’s of your finds, (please put as much information about your outfit as you can under your photo). The Free*Style Flickr Group feeds through to the blog so all the readers can see, you can click on each photo to see it in more detail. Store owners are welcome to advertise their gifts too, just incase we don’t get around to showing your creations..you can imagine how crazy our blogging folders are right now.

I’m still working my way through the footprint hunt, but basically you hunt at each store location for a red/green stocking, or a gingerbread man, this contains the gift and the LM to the next stores. Some of the stores I have found it impossible to find the gift. I found it easier to just TP to each store direct from the blogs listed on the footprint hunt blog, rather than try to find each gift which contains the next LM. Good luck on that one, it’s the gifts are wonderful so it is well worth it.

Bloody Kat Munsters!

Ash is having a couple of total crushes atm. The first being Lolli Munster hair. The hair worn below is from the new store, not free, but colour and size change scripted and sooo worth the L’s. You can see another of Lolli’s yum styles as modeled by our fabulous Ach (yeah I’m doing the Aussie thing and claiming anything awesome as our own!!)

Our Dahl posted the amazing skin Miasnow has bestowed upon us for Christmas. Well of course I rushed off to grab it, but I was having an awful day rezing stuff (as in it just sodding well wouldn’t). I found the tray Dahl was talking about, and clicked it a couple of times. And I got food!!! A gingersnap and a cupcake, nomnomnom. The supercute tank top is one of a million and twenty seven gifts from an amzing store called AKI Kimono. The beautiful eyes I’m wearing are also a gift from there.

Just what I need, as I never ever remember to put my busy sign on!! You get 4 different ones in the pack.

MnM Hunt, and it is a hunt….oh yes….

….AKA, the most confusing hunt in the virtual world (if you don’t speak Japanese).
Once I had completed it though, in hindsight it was really rather simple. Info on the MnM website HERE

So the hunt started yesterday and runs through to 24 Nov and you win wonderful prizes from *BP, MCH and Honey Kitty.

You begin at the Okinawa sim, you are looking for a large acorn which appears randomly in certain locations. It is the same acorn which appears all of the sim, so you don’t need to collect them from all over the sim. I found 3 places it where the acorn appears but there are more locations.

BUT, it’s not as simple as you collect an acorn and you get a prize…oh no! you are sent on a trail for your prize, you have to work for it.

When you collect an acorn you are also given a notecard which gives landmarks to 3 more locations : Electro Kitty, MnM at Glass Earth and MnM at Oz. So my tip is, stay where you are and keep collecting around 8 or more acorns (in case lag swallows them, which happened to me).

Go to one of the locations on the notecard you are given (it is the same notecard with each acorn), where you will find treasure chests.
Click on the chest to open, see your name above the chest.
Ctrl + drag the acorn from your inventory into the open chest)
*You don’t need to put an the acorn in every chest. I have written on the photo’s below how many acorns you need at each location, please read the pictures carefully.

When the chest accepts your acorn (any problems please read the MnM blog), you will be given a leaf which says *wear* and a notecard with the prize location LM.

Take your leafs to the prize location and touch a chest to open. When you see your name above the chest drag your leaf into the chest.
Honey Kitty and MCH have the same prize in each chest so you only need one leaf for these. BP* has 3 prizes so you need 3 leaves.

BP* has 3 gifts, drop a leaf into a chest at gift 1, 2 and 3 location as shown on the photo below.

You only need to drop a leaf in 1 chest at Honey Kitty and MCH as they all contain the same prize

After all your efforts, well what do you win? Cute stuff, that’s what!

I’M 25 ANS..

…well, I do feel like I am 25 when I play Second Life.

25 ans is a really cute Japanese fashion magazine and they have a location in Second Life. You can find lots of great free gifts, some which you have to join the group before you can receive them. The group joiner is in the store next to the freebie.

So what have we got?

A free wedding dress, hey there’s also a church there if you are crazy enough to get married in SL. Personally I prefer to just flounce around in a wedding dress without the marriage bit.

This bikini comes in 3 colours and has blingy bits you can attach, if you fancy blingtarding it up. Lately I’ve been rockin the bling again, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.

This cute dress comes with the little pearl necklace (hoy Olivia, I know what you are thinking you filthy hoar) 😀

When I logged on today I noticed that komeko Shinn, the incredibly original and stylish designer behind [/NoLabel/] Has given the most generous gift out in her group: Drunken Cowboy boots in brown! (complete with bourbon flask tucked into one of them!!) you should also check her amazing earrings, accessories & clothing out. She’s extremely talented, I ❤ it all!

Without further ado… These babies are the group gift!

Textures are really well done and have a resize script, so they’ll fit pretty much any foot/leg combo! Have to say they look remarkably cool, I’ll be wearing these a lot! You can buy them in her store in other colors for $250 which is very reasonable for this quality

Really like the way the toe points up that little bit more than other designs I’ve seen!

The other bits I’m wearing are the gorgeous tartan scarf from Edge Grafica, along with the waistcoat and short shirt & skirt from the ever generous Peppermint Blue (no longer free).

Miu has a new mainstore and to celebrate there is a hunt. You have to find little cups of darjeeling tea, there are many around the store but only 4 contain goodies. I managed to find 3 with the help of Noir Gothly (thankyoooo).

We both struggled to find the 4th cup which contains the turtleneck sweater, so good luck with that Chica’s – cos you’ll need it ツ

You can also find many other really cute low priced items all around Miu‘s store, this hair and top were free (the top is unisex). The shorts are by Garbage Prototype (Random Designs) at the Gnubie Store (0L).

This morning I saw Ayura’s lovely post about a dress she found at the Contest Mall, a brand new Japanese shopping center (SLURL HERE). I decided that it was most definitely worth a visit, and when I got there, I found that a number of Japanese designers had put out free items, perhaps for the opening.

I was immediately drawn to the awesome boots, above. Then, walking around (a number of shops aren’t open quite yet), I spotted an entire free Ninja outfit with male shape and sword AO, a free yukata with geta and a bag, and a few pairs of cute free glasses.
