Pink has been getting some play on the fashion feeds lately. This is after Valentines, so what gives?For this story, I will leave names out.

Well a fellow Canadian(I AM CANADIAN-one of our beer slogans) blogged about Anti Bully Day, which is a day in Canada where schools had started a program to show support on bringing down “bully” behavior.

It’s sort of funny that this one blog post could start a war of sorts, and the soldiers being a battalion of Pink clad SL avi’s. So I don the horrid colour to do my part. We all say things that aren’t so nice some days, things that could be taken wrong, if you don’t know the person well enough. Have some taste, don’t start wars on a feed, plurk, flickr, twitter, blablabla, cause more often then not, it comes back at you like tenfold.

I also happen to believe only REAL men can pull off pink, it shouldn’t matter what their preference of a partner is.

So be kind. Rewind.

So I at least managed to punk out while I was in this dastardly colour. People were all over it.

I soooooooo did not want to have to buy pink, or take time to look for pink, so I did a wee bit of cheating, and shopped a bit on XStreet. This was a Sweeter Then Candy gift for Vday that’s still up. I think it was blogged, but for all you who missed it, go get er!

This I think our Suri might have blogged this in the past, but doesn’t hurt to take a quick pic. I love the train on it, even if it’s pink.

I wear in al these a rather normal but well made skin, and even managed to score some pink eyes for ya! The lashes come on the skin, so no prim torture necessary.

And what would a Free*Style post be without some Pink shoes? I think I found the most fugly ones I could.

Well I hope you all enjoyed my self induced torture, it might be hard not to get bullied now though, all you pink lovers probably want to chop off my head. If only to get the hair!

The Living Dead Girl

Ya that’s me, living dead girl. Why? Oh I live in a mausoleum. I’m Helena Stringer, your newest guest blogger to hit the Free*Style pages. I learnt of Freestyle almost right after it was born. I started making notices shortly after, for all the deals I found(in the beginning anyone could post deals, we weren’t that big then). I didn’t know of the blog, till one day Creamy basically said to the group, I’m to lazy today to post all the shops I found items in. So check out the blog. Well she had had the blog way before then, but that was the turning point for me. When you get too busy designing, and are a cheap ass like me, you can sort of just window shop. It’s a beautiful thing.

My aim here will be to blog in theme, me I love themed things! So be it a certain item, like a whole post on ankle boots, or blue things, or ducks, you get the idea. Feel free to put themes of things you want me to find, in the comments, I’ll try my best for you, designers willing!

I decided to be a bit lazy myself, and do some freebie shopping on slx . . . oops Xstreet SL®. It’s a great thing for when sl sucks . . . ermmm guess I can’t say that here. Little round furry things okay? They normally come in a pair, unless something is wrong.

Anyways.

The Dress above caught my eye. I have a thing for making my hips even bigger(shoves more Hershey’s WHITE chocolate chips in her mouth). I was let to this dress by clicking a link from slx to the store. There is a bunch of goodies here. I had also found a set of gloves on slx. Now they led me to the inworld store, which had even more goodies. The ones I wear here are of the inworld variety.

I had the perfect tat from one of my new favvy stores. Hadn’t worn it yet, so why not get nakie for you guys?

If you don’t have an eyelash folder, man oh man, go out and find some of those suckers. You will have to learn how to modify objects in sl, since we are all different, but most take little tweaks. These, well the fit me perfect! They come in 5 colours.

The necklace, I couldn’t tell you when I found that, but it seemed to fit the bill. It’s just too bad he didn’t have a lil ebil grin, eh?

OMG another great find! My hips are even bigger looking!(throws Hershey’s WHITE chocolate chips in her hot chocolate).

There is a pink version of the dress too, but it clashed with all my blood.

Even dead girls like shoes! Sad thing is, even with my arsenal of grayish skins, I couldn’t find one to match right. Maybe I’ll have to make one out, now that you all are going to run off and get these, or you could maybe share with me if you find a good match.

These are for is your worried your toes are more in a state of decay then you thought. You get to keep them digits with these! While adding a bit of fluff too!

A little Kosh.. a little Kermit..

As a frugal elf, I’ve been a freebz devotee since day one. I do my part to support the SL economy with my shopping addiction so I figure I can indulge in a freeb or two, and I have found the most delightful stores while doing so.

I found the above “Chamber 13” outfit at Kosh, which is right beside Concrete Flowers, where I picked up these way fun socks.

Also available at Kosh is the “rusty skull” necklace and cuff, and some other dollarbee pieces and a set of mens shirts… as fellow freebz hounds, you no doubt recognize the lucky chair boots from Bukka, I am not sure if they are still in the chairs as I think they changed Feb 28.

And finally, just as you’ve finished sorting all the pink and red from February’s festivities… March brings in Green!! yaaaay for Green! This cute “St. Patties day freebie” from Ema’s will make a nice addition to your green collection!

YAY, I had the perfect RL shopping expedition today!

I needed to buy an outfit for a girly night out tomorrow, so off I went into town. The first shop I visited…THERE IT WAS, the perfect dress…and only £25 (so of course I had to spend a fortune on accessories, because the dress was so cheap).

I was only shopping for an hour, which is not enough, so I logged onto SL to quench my shopping urges and look what I picked up. Many of these were found whilst I was doing the Footprint Hunt, but not all items are part of the hunt.

Busy busy busy, shopping shopping shopping

Gosh what a busy day!! Yep last minute rushes before Xmas as usual for me. My kids finish school on Friday so I’m trying to get my shopping done before then, as I’ll have no time (or inclination) do it after that.

I probably won’t get so much SL time as Xmas is fast approaching, (I imagine the same goes for my fellow bloggers). I have decided to place a special Xmas Freebie Tips comments box on our blog where you can all leave tips, you can also join the Free*Style Flickr Group to show photo’s of your finds, (please put as much information about your outfit as you can under your photo). Some of the stores I have found it impossible to find the gift. I found it easier to just TP to each store direct from the blogs listed on the footprint hunt blog, rather than try to find each gift which contains the next LM. Good luck on that one, it’s the gifts are wonderful so it is well worth it.

Bedtime for me, I’ve got more shopping tomorrow, I’ve got a girlies night out on Thursday so I neeeeed to get an oufit. Oh the joys!

Clothes for pretty girls

Miu has a new mainstore and to celebrate there is a hunt. You have to find little cups of darjeeling tea, there are many around the store but only 4 contain goodies. I managed to find 3 with the help of Noir Gothly (thankyoooo).

We both struggled to find the 4th cup which contains the turtleneck sweater, so good luck with that Chica’s – cos you’ll need it ツ

You can also find many other really cute low priced items all around Miu‘s store, this hair and top were free (the top is unisex). The shorts are by Garbage Prototype (Random Designs) at the Gnubie Store (0L).

The beautiful skin worn is at Diversity and if you are under 30 days old you can get a free set and also a free hair of your choice. TP to the store and follow the instructioons given to you when you arrive.

Well I thought I would go with the flow (literally) and make Helle the latest alt girl, suffer for my hormonal issues.

ALB Dream Fashion has this superbright ‘Colo’ jacket free in store today, I would so wear this in RL. I’m a big hoody fan. These cute long socks are free/1L from Twosome and the jeans are part of last weeks free outfit from Oops (I edited them to make them shorter).

Mijn is an fab artist (check out her gallery) and I have really fallen in love with the skins she has been creating lately. I was gonna say I’m a hair whore……..but that would be a lie!! I’m a hair, clothes, shoes…….bugger it, all sl products whore (bar the sex ones, still don’t get the appeal there XD!) This weekend was heaven in terms of hunts, sales and shows. We have been well and truly spoilt. I’ll start with some of the goodies I got from the Ivalde sale. Heaps of shtuff is marked down to 100l, with quite a few dollarbies hidden. Using Adaire’s hover tip thingo I was able to find them in no time at all, and drop some serious cash as well!!

I had been shopping at Junwave, taking advantage of the massive 50% off sale. Now the hair there was already cheap, so I picked up amazing styles for 30l or less as well as a freebie.

These are a couple of the styles I got. Then I went for a wander over to the next sim and boy did I make a find! The clothes I’m wearing were all free!! From a wee place called Aya Love, and a store opposite that’s called M’s Factory.

My inventory needs some serious sorting now! I was so proud of myself that I’d got down to under 40,000 items (the majority of which is bought stuff not freebies), but alas……no more!

There’s some serious kyoooot happening here!! Alot are system skirts, so make sure you have your skirt shape handy, unlike moi who forgot and had to take all the pics again…….oy!
