Free Loco Pocos Avatar, shirt, and fishing rod

Last night, Mouseat0nik Pidgeon called me over to Loco Pocos. “I’ve got a new dress out that I’m selling for the Loco Pocos av!” she said excitedly. I showed up, and the cute little mousey was surrounded by a veritable posse of small cute creatures, including Cthullantha Larsson (sadly, I didn’t get a photo of her, but here’s the Cthulhu av).

Behind Mouseat0nik I spotted a free avatar (photo above), and soon was outfitting it with a free t-shirt and fishing rod from XStreet.

Then I got all fancy in not-free stuff (photo below). I bought the Francine avatar (call me Foxariya!), katat0nik’s dress and eyes that work with the color changing hud, and a wee tophat. I think I look quite dapper!

Loco Pocos

Phil’s place is full of gamers, people that have played playstation and such and came here looking for more. I’m a diehard Final Fantasy fan myself!!! This post is for you and me and tinies!! Loco Pocos are new avatars, fully interactive and off the chart adorable! They have a whole island for you to explore and hunt for treasure!

The lava is AMAZING. It totally blew my mind! You solve the puzzles in each area and claim your treasure. The release for the opening is below.

“LOCO POCOS ISLAND – Damien Fate has gone out on limb, literally, to bring to the Second Life grid an interactive destination unlike any other.
On July 9, 2008, Second Life ™ residents will be able to experience, first hand, the magic that is Loco Pocos Island. The island is built with a story in mind, and visitors are invited to search the island for pages from the unfortunate Captain B. Bonnik’s journal. Each journal entry will piece together the history of Loco Pocos Island and will lead the visitor to secret locations where special tasks and rewards await. The centerpiece of the island is the mythical tree, Rokeden. With it’s rich texturing, imaginative design and Fate’s characteristic attention to detail, visitors to the sim will instantly become immersed in, and a part of, the fantasy that is the story of Loco Pocos Island.
Fate felt inspired to create Loco Pocos Island hoping to bring a unique experience to Second Life residents. “My dream was to create something new in SL, not with just a product, but a whole island experience. Something that is intuitive, bringing things to a whole new level and above all, bring everyone in SL together by removing all language barriers possible.” Fate continued. “Sims can be so much more than just a store, avatars can be so much more than just prims.”
Loco Pocos, which, loosely translated, means “crazy tinies”, are the inhabitants of this magical island. Each sculpted avatar, equipped with a user-friendly HUD, is meticulously detailed and textured. The Loco Pocos are infinitely customizable via the HUD for maximum personalization. Each avatar is able to emote and gesture via the HUD and wearing any of the multiple Loco Pocos accessories automatically updates the HUD with the appropriate customization options for that item.
The HUD itself is designed to offer maximum ease-of-use. The graphic icons are easily recognizable and a users manual, translated into seven languages, has been provided for those who prefer text based instruction. Overall, though, each avatar and it’s HUD was designed so that the end-user could visit the Island Store, purchase an avatar and begin exploring all of the island’s adventures within minutes.
Prior to beginning the Loco Pocos project, Fate worked with the Electric Sheep Company, playing a major role in the development of such notable projects as Ben and Jerry’s island, IBM Sentinel 2.0, and CSI:NY (tv shows and inworld game/machinima), independently developed a popular line of Final Fantasy avatars, and the mirada.smartHUD, an emotion HUD which, to date, has sold over 5,000 units.
Fate was joined in this endeavor by his partner and wife, Washu Zebrastripe. Zebrastripe is a beta lifetime member of Second Life and is the original creator of prim hair. Fate and Zebrastripe are also co-owners of the Hairspray Sim.
To kick off the Grand Opening of Loco Pocos Island, a massive scavenger hunt event will begin at Noon SLT on July 9, 2008. Visitors to the sim on this date will have the opportunity to win a unique avatar which will only be available during events at Loco Pocos Island.”

Goth-meets-Kitty-meets-Tiny-meet Victoriana

It all started with some beautiful free boots from The Laughing Academy and then all the free goodies Apple Pop has been giving away. “How can I fit all of these in one post?” I thought, “I don’t want to give the Fashion Feed a serious spamorama”. It’s turned out as a bit of a mish-mash here of Goth-meets-Kitty-meets-Tiny-meet Victoriana.

I decided to use Miaow (my kitty alt) for this post, it’s easy to find stuff in her inventory as she only has 3,509 items – all perfectly ordered. I don’t use her very often so I found a few items in the inventory which I had forgotten about, and still available YAY!

Sooo, first I found these glorious outfits from Kouse’s Sanctum in my inventory. This first one was a group gift – the message is dated 4/14/08 so you only have a few more days to get this. Items only remain in notice archives for 30 days

Firstly today, there is a new group gift in Mimikri Hot Couture, search groups using the word ‘Mimikri‘ and it should be really easy to find! They’re giving away this unusually patterned ‘Lady Minx’ dress in Pink, has gorgeous matching gloves! The pattern is reminiscent of lined crepe paper, also I really love this deep, off-pink hue

The cute spangly purple sculpted ‘booties’ haven’t been released yet at Periquita Shoes , these will be available in a variety of confident colors, they’re so much fun to wear. They match the Mimikri dress so perfectly!

These really nice free jeans also come from Lycee Feelings Shop! You will find them near the hat & heart dress above. With them I’m wearing this cute Valentine shirt from *Yamy* shop it comes in about 4/5 colors!

Also I’m wearing the cool grey Spring muffler from the same shop! The items here are amazing value, and it’s also selling mens clothing! Awesome if you’re on a tight budget.

I was a little naughty at Urban Bomb Unit, but I just couldn’t resist these Pink Psycho wellie boots, they’re so awesome… Not free but I absolutely recommend them for quality & style.

The other night I left myself camping for this cute anime style ‘Summer – pink’ skin from KAO, it’s a 2 hour camp but well worth it, so pretty

I also found this summery free outfit at Aventi, it’s from a shop called Little Town, the outfit is called ‘resort gift – blue’ and comes with matching shoes!

They also sell a gorgeous tiny sculptie avatar along with other freebies!
